History
Allen Construction was founded in 2005. The mission of Allen Construction was to become Charleston's finest quality, small cap custom builder, with customer service and integrity being the foundational elements. Greg Allen, the principal, grew up in a very successful commercial contracting family in Charleston, South Carolina. Greg graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science and Management. He then went on to achieve the designation of Graduate Master Builder through the National Association of Home Builders, which is their highest honor. Greg’s wife, Elizabeth, is a renowned architect whose work has appeared in multiple states and who runs a successful architecture firm in Charleston, South Carolina. Allen Construction is available to take your project through the entire design phase as a design-build venture or is also available to build your home if you already have the design in hand.

Allen Construction is based in Charleston, South Carolina and works in the surrounding area. From brand-new construction on the island beaches to preservation work on historical plantations, over the last 18 years, we have pretty much done it all. No two projects are ever alike which is the most rewarding aspect of our job.
